Two teenagers die in suspected drug deaths 'after rave at SWG3' in Glasgow

Two teenagers died in suspected drug deaths after reportedly attending an event at a Glasgow nightclub. The 18-year-olds are believed to have been at a rave at SWG3, on Eastvale Place in the West End, on Saturday, where top DJ Ben Hemsley was headlining.One man collapsed in the venue at around 2.20am on Sunday and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

He was pronounced dead a short time later.A few hours earlier, another teen had been found unwell at Croy Railway Station in North Lanarkshire at around 11.20pm.

Emergency services raced to the scene, and he was taken to University Hospital Monklands where he died shortly after. It is understood he had also been at SWG3 that day.Police have launched a probe into the deaths of both teens.

It is understood the force are following a line of enquiry that the deaths were drugs-related. And cops are also believed to be investigating if there is a link between the two tragic incidents.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.20pm on Saturday, August 12, we were called to a report of a man taking unwell in the Constarry Road area of Croy."Emergency services attended and an 18-year-old was taken to University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
