Two months of works at Carlisle Road in Airdrie as new active travel route is completed

Temporary traffic lights will be in place for two months on a busy Airdrie road to allow for the construction of a new active travel route.Work will be carried out along the A73 Carlisle Road from this Friday, February 16, to widen the path along its east side and create a shared-used path through Craigneuk Park for walking, wheeling and cycling.It is expected to take until the end of April, and the manually-controlled signals will be in place from 7am to 7pm each day.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
