Two Manchester men arrested 200 miles apart on suspicion of raping girls in major investigation

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of rape as part of an investigation into child sexual exploitation offences. A 58-year-old man was arrested after officers raided a property in Longsight in the early hours of yesterday morning (March 6).

The suspect was taken into custody after being arrested on suspicion of the rape of a female under the age of 16. A second 47-year-old man, also from the Longsight area, was arrested in Bristol, police said.
