nme.comTwilight fans have been reacting to the “best news” as a new animated Netflix series set in the Twilight universe has been given the go ahead.The streaming giant has given a straight-to-series order, developing Midnight Sun – Twilight author Stephanie Meyer’s companion novel to the Twilight series.The book is a re-telling of the events of Twilight from the perspective of vampire Edward Cullen.
The main series, meanwhile, is told from the point of view of Bella Swan.Lionsgate Television will produce the series: they also released four of the Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart-starring Twilight movies.Pattinson and Stewart starred in the Twilight films as Edward and Bella.
