McGregor has won 20 trophies at Celtic and Cantwell is adamant he possesses the same drive, if not more, to follow suit with the Viaplay Cup in his personal cabinet.
It comes after the Rangers playmaker thrilled against Hearts in the Scottish Cup semi final and and is now hell-bent on lifting more trophies under Philippe Clement.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Cantwell said: "There's a rivalry there, right? Listen, there are things which are said on the pitch and things which are said off the pitch.
