Police officers called to a disturbance in Hamilton found a woman bleeding heavily from a head wound.Ian Baird, 53, was jailed for 18 months at the town’s sheriff court this week.He admitted assaulting his partner at a house in High Patrick Street on May 29 this year.The court heard Baird was the subject of two bail orders at the time, including one that was imposed only six days before the assault.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

They looked through the window and could see the complainer bleeding heavily from the head, so they went in and arrested the accused.”The victim’s head wound was treated with three staples and two stitches.
