The latest rankings for both state and independent schools in Scotland have been revealed. It saw Jordanhill School, an all-through primary and secondary nonselective comprehensive in Glasgow, take the first spot once again.
The school advises parents to register their child for a place as soon as they are born. The West End institution also receives a special grant from the Scottish Government.
The guide, put together by The Sunday Times Parent Power team, ranks schools based on the proportion of pupils who achieve five or more National 5 passes and five or more Highers.
They also look at the proportion gaining two or more Advanced Highers. While it placed fifth in the rankings, Williamwood High School in Glasgow has been named The Sunday Times Scotland Secondary School of the Year.
