Jenny Ryan, best known as one of the brainy boffins from ITV's The Chase, was left devastated after a fake plumber swindled her out of "irreplaceable jewellery." The 42 year old quiz ace known as The Vixen opened up on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday 31 July about the harrowing experience that saw her lose not just her phone but also deeply sentimental items.

She recounted the incident from earlier this year: "Unfortunately, a couple of months ago, I got a knock on my door and it was a workman who said there was a leak in the flat upstairs and he needed come in and take some photos.

He didn't just take photos, he took my phone and jewellery which is irreplaceable." Jenny shared the emotional significance of the stolen pieces, saying, "It was made for me as a gift from my mum and stepdad." Reflecting on the moment she let her guard down, Jenny admitted, "It was just a moment of losing concentration and probably being too polite, not wanting to say 'No, let me see your ID, wait there...' I just wanted it to be over but by that time he was in my house, had shut himself in my bedroom and was rifling through my stuff." Jenny concluded with a piece of advice to potentially prevent others from falling victim to similar crimes: "If your hackles are up, then don't be afraid to be impolite, just say no and it probably wont happen to you - hopefully." Beyond her intellectual prowess on the much-loved quiz show The Chase, Jenny Ryan is making waves in the music scene.
