Teachers stage latest strike action in South Lanarkshire amidst ongoing pay dispute

Teachers across South Lanarkshire once again campaigned for fairer pay last week as they staged their latest strike action.

Members of the EIS union gathered outside the council headquarters in Hamilton on Friday, February 3, in a rally amidst the ongoing dispute.

Every primary, secondary and additional needs school across the region, along with a number of term-time nursery classes shut as local teachers took their turn in the 16-national day protest affecting two local authorities at a time.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
