Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Taylor Swift fans have been venting their stress as they wait to receive ticket codes for The Eras Tour general sale next week.

The mega star is bringing her three-hour, 44-song performance to the UK next summer. The I Knew You Were Trouble hitmaker is currently on tour in the USA, while presale tickets for her European stint went on sale earlier this week.

Sales were staggered at different days and times to cope with overwhelming demand. Plenty took to Twitter to share their joy at successfully bagging tickets, while some fans worried that there wouldn't be any general sale tickets left. Taylor will be playing 13 shows across London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Liverpool next June and August. Back on June 20, when Taylor announced the first dates for the UK leg of her tour, fans were told that anyone who wanted to purchase a ticket for the shows, and didn't pre-order the Midnights album, would have to register with Ticketmaster first.
