The future of Fleetwood Mac is never something to be relied on but Stevie Nicks has said she does not see a way for the band to return to the stage following the 2022 death of her bandmate, Christine McVie.

Speaking in a new interview with Vulture, Nicks said that on a practical and personal level, she does not believe there's any reason to continue with Fleetwood Mac without her late bandmate.

You just can’t,” Nicks is quoted as saying. "Without her, what is it? You know what I mean? She was like my soul mate, my musical soul mate, and my best friend that I spent more time with than any of my other best friends outside of Fleetwood Mac.
