Steven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer Snoop Dogg has announced the release date for his highly anticipated new album “Missionary,” produced entirely by Dr.

Dre. “Missionary,” which is being billed as the sequel to Snoop’s 1993 debut “Doggystyle,” is set for release on Dec. 13. It marks the first full-length collaboration between Dre and Snoop since “Doggystyle.” The rapper made the announcement with a promotional video on social media where two Mormon missionaries knock on a stranger’s door, only to be met with a woman in full lingerie who tells them, “What the fuck?

Your ad said you were dedicated to missionary work.” A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) Snoop first mentioned the album back in 2022, when he said that it would be done that November.

He billed it as a “30th anniversary to ‘Doggystyle,'” which Dr. Dre produced in full. That album became the fastest-selling hip-hop album ever at the time, and has since been hailed as one of the best rap records of all-time.
