A mum is campaigning for a lifetime ban for dangerous drivers after her baby and sister were killed by a speeder who was going 141mph while taking a picture.
Shalorna Warner's eight-month-old son Zackary Blades and sister Karlene Warner, 30, died when Darryl Anderson crashed into the Peugeot car she was driving on the A1 (M) in County Durham on May 31.
The 38-year-old, of Clarell Walk, Thorpe Hesley, Rotherham, had been taking a picture while driving an Audi Q5 at 141mph, the ChronicleLive reports. Anderson, who had a previous conviction for drink driving, was also banned from the roads for 21 years. Shalorna, from Northern Ireland, has launched a petition to change the law so anyone convicted of causing death by dangerous driving in the future will face a mandatory lifelong driving ban.
