The Greens have warned they are unlikely to vote for the SNP's next budget at Holyrood after John Swinney slashed public spending. The Scottish Government announced £500m of cuts last week which saw a series of its key policies either scrapped or delayed indefinitely.Lorna Slater accused the Nationalists today of cutting "all the Green stuff" the two parties had previously agreed to when they shared power at Holyrood. And the environmentalists' co-leader warned Swinney her party did not fear the prospect of an early Holyrood election if the Scottish Government failed to pass its next budget, which is due to be unveiled on December 4."The Greens are polling very well at the moment.

We have a lot less to lose than the SNP do," she told BBC Radio Scotland.Under Holyrood rules, the Government must pass a budget each year or call an election.

The SNP lacks a majority after Humza Yousaf terminated the Bute House Agreement earlier this year. That decision enraged the Greens and relations between the two pro-independence parties have yet to recover.Slater and her co-leader Patrick Harvie have since become stern critics of the Scottish Government from the backbenches despite both being former ministers.Asked if her party would support the budget, Slater said the recent Programme for Government had "signalled" what it would look like. "I''ll be honest, they cut all the Green stuff that we put in it," she said."We worked very hard when we were in Government to make sure there was funding for nature restoration, for things like Zero Waste Scotland"The SNP has now rolled back on all of that.

It doesn't look like they want our votes, so they'll need to get them from another party.""It's hard to imagine who is going to sign-up for this
