Scots playground flooded with 'sewage' leaving staff and pupils 'getting sick'

A Scots school playground has been flooded with 'sewage' from a recurring problem which was first reported in August and has reportedly seen staff and pupils "getting sick".

Westerton Primary School in Bearsden has had issues with flooding before but in August the murky water began to flow into the playground where the children spend their breaks.

The issue has been reported to East Dunbartonshire Council who reportedly told the school an old drain collapsed but it is claimed that plans to replace the drain made for October never took place.

Now with the recent bad weather the playground is constantly awash with dirty 'sewage' water and kids are being warned not to go near it at playtimes.A concerned whistleblower who wishes to remain anonymous told Glasgow Live: "The school is old and the drains have always flooded.
