A dad has spoken of the tragic death of his son as he raises money to get a memorial for the youngster. David Stewart's son Aiden passed away when he was just 13.
The teen had spina bifida and had lost the use of the left side of his body after suffering a stroke when he was just four. He passed away three years ago and his dad is now trying to ensure the family has a shrine where they can remember him.The 41-year-old, originally of Dalkeith, Midlothian, but now living in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, said: "He was a great boy!
Aiden was always happy and smiling, he never let anything bother him."Even though he only had about 10 per cent use of his left side, he didn't let that stop him.
He still played the PlayStation and XBox. I wish I could have some of his attitude."Only a select number of friends and family were able to attend Aiden's funeral, which came during lockdown restrictions, and he had been shielding during the coronavirus pandemic.
