A Scots couple have told of their utter delight after welcoming their 'miracle' baby - after four miscarriages and nearly a decade of trying.

Vikki Thomson, 39, and partner Martin Roxburgh, 50, welcomed their 'wee miracle ' son Bobby George Roxburgh into the world last month.

He was was born 11 days early on December 12, weighing 7lb 1oz. After eight years of trying the couple, from Denny, Falkirk had nearly lost hope and had stopped trying when Vikki found out she was pregnant with Bobby.Careers advisor Vikki, who is also mum to daughter Maizy, 10, was taken in for a C-section early following complications and medics feared Bobby might only weigh 4lbs.But the doting parent said when Bobby was born he was 'perfect'.Mum-of-two Vikki said: "We are all enjoying having him around.

Maizy is loving it. She's a great help and she loves him to bits. She was one of the first visitors in to see him after he was born and she helped pick his name."She used to call my bump BOB - Baby on Board - when I was pregnant and when we found out we were having a boy it became Boy on Board."We didn't want to call a wee baby Bob, but that's how we came up with the name Bobby.
