Scots artist paints touching tribute to Rangers icon Fernando Ricksen after pal dies from same disease

Fernando Ricksen - and in memory of a close pal killed by the same horrendous condition. Eric McGirr has produced the art piece which will be donated to Ricken's widow Veronika while prints will be sold to raise cash in the ongoing battle against Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The footballer died aged just 43 in 2019 after a heartbreaking fight against MND, joining a growing list of former footballers who have been affected.
