After four years of brilliant service as manager of the Rutherglen and Cambuslang Foodbank, Katharina Nimmo prepares to stand down.Katharina took on the role of foodbank manager during the Covid-19 pandemic in October 2020 and has successfully run the project since then.Heather Buchan, chair of the board of trustees, said: “During her four-year tenure, Katharina has made sure that the foodbank has kept pace with growing demand at the same time expanding its services beyond food, offering support with energy costs, SIM cards, setting up a Citizens Advice Outreach service at the centres and working tirelessly with our volunteers, donors, referral agencies and supporters to reach those in the community who need our help.”The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
