High winds are also predicted for tomorrow’s play and McIlroy had to fight through torrential rain over the final Friday holes to shoot 66 and stay ahead of the hunting pack.The World No.3 is prepared for battle against any bad weather as he hunts down the title and said: “I’m just going to try and embrace whatever the conditions give us and however the golf course plays.
I don’t mind [the bad weather]. I kept saying that, yes we are all looking forward to next week, but I want to go and win this tournament over the weekend.
