Roadworks on A77 in Girvan kick off today for seven weeks

Road safety works on the A77 in Girvan get underway for a seven week period starting from today.Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are undertaking safety improvements measures on the A77 in Girvan between Bridgemill Roundabout and ASDA in a bid to reduce speed and collisions on this stretch.Preparatory works will take place from today (Wednesday, March 1) until Monday, March 6, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, each weekday.The main body of work will commence on Monday, March 6 for seven weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, each weekday.The £150,000 scheme will see a reduction in the width of the carriageway, widening footways, and improving existing pedestrian crossings.
