COMEDIAN Rhod Gilbert has broken his silence on his hospital dash after his Stage Four cancer diagnosis. Last summer, Rhod, 54, announced the sad news of his condition - and told fans he would "disappear for a while" as he underwent treatment.

Over the festive period, he was rushed to hospital alongside wife Sian. Sian told her Twitter followers they had been in A&E, but did not go into detail as to why.

It came months after Rhod revealed he is getting treatment at Velindre cancer centre in Wales. Now he has told The Guardian about his condition, admitting he is often lost for words.
