nme.comQueens Of The Stone Age have cancelled more live shows as frontman Josh Homme remains under “medical care”.Earlier this month, the band axed a run of European dates due to Homme requiring “emergency surgery” back home in the US. “Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue,” a statement read.QOTSA scrapped eight gigs between July 10 and July 27.
Now, the group have cancelled a further seven performances in Europe that had been scheduled to take place throughout next month.These are Way Out West in Sweden (August 8), Oya Festival in Norway (9), Syd For Solen in Denmark (10), Cabaret Vert in France (15), Lowlands in the Netherlands (16), Pukkelpop in Belgium (18) and Vilar de Mouros in Portugal (21).“Due to continued medical care, it is under doctors’ orders that Josh Homme remain in their care in the United States.
The following QOTSA festival performances have been cancelled,” a new statement reads.“The Homme family and QOTSA are so grateful for the outpouring of well wishes and kind understanding during this time.” Fans are being advised to “check festival websites for further information”.A post shared by QOTSA (@queensofthestoneage)At the time of writing, Queens Of The Stone Age are scheduled to play a run of North American shows between late September and mid-November.
