Queen's Park make wonderful ticket refund offer to Morton fans after severe flooding wreaked havoc on travel

Queen’s Park have offered to refund fans who bought tickets for Saturday’s match against Morton and were unable to attend.Some supporters had difficulty getting to Hampden for the game due to the horrific weather that swept the country and the subsequent travel chaos.

Trains were cancelled across the country and warnings were made not to make journeys unless necessary as some areas experienced dangerous flooding.Due to the ‘exceptional circumstances’, and on a ‘one-off basis’, Queen's Park have said they will reimburse anyone unable to attend.

Home fans can get their money back or a free ticket for another Championship match, whilst Morton supporters can get a refund or a voucher for the Cappielow club’s next trip to the national stadium on February 17.

A statement read: “Queen’s Park football club recognises that due to the weather warnings and travel information that were issued for parts of Scotland on Saturday, October 7, 2023, not everyone who purchased an on-line individual match day ticket for their home cinch Championship game with Greenock Morton was in a position to attend Hampden.“Having listened to fans, Queen’s Park have made the decision, on a one-off basis due to the exceptional circumstances, to offer to reimburse fans of both clubs who had purchased an individual match day ticket on-line and who were not able to attend.”Morton director Graham Barr commented: “Saturday’s weather was horrendous, and we were all extremely disappointed that everyone who wanted to attend couldn’t make it along to Hampden."The club are grateful for the stance Queen’s Park have taken on ticket refunds for supporters who could not make it along on Saturday but had purchased tickets, and would like to thank the club for their
