Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Following the revelation that the late Queen Elizabeth was left furious after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle publicly claimed they had her blessing to name their daughter Lilibet, an expert has explained why this insight proves the monarch was "exasperated" with the Sussexes.

Robert Hardman's new biography, Charles III: New King, New Court.The Inside Story, serialised in the Daily Mail, reveals that one member of staff said that Queen Elizabeth was "as angry as I'd ever seen her" after the Sussexes' comments following Lilibet's birth in June 2021.

Now, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has opened up to OK! about the latest royal drama surrounding the pair's "bullish" behaviour which left the Queen "riled". "I find this very interesting," Jennie says. "I think many of us wondered what the Queen really felt about her uniquely special nickname being used in this way.

When I first heard about it, I thought it was probably a rather lovely compliment. "That’s almost certainly how it was intended, but Lilibet was a deeply personal name for the Queen and only her very nearest and dearest used it. "In a way, the name was not Harry and Meghan‘s to give.
