Prince Harry has been urged to "swallow his pride" and make the effort to reunite with his brother William and King Charles in the UK next month.

Harry is due to return to the UK for a brief spell as he is set to attend the WellChild Awards on September 7, the day before the first anniversary of the late Queen Elizabeth II's death.

Royal expert Marlene Koenig told Express.co.uk: "I think this would be a good opportunity for Harry to swallow his pride and see his father privately." She added that while it might not be a very successful meeting, it is important for the King to see his younger son as he has made it clear in the past that he still loves Harry despite the rift that has grown between them in recent years.

As it stands it is not clear whether there are any plans for both parties to meet in the UK next month as tensions between Harry and The Firm still appear heightened.
