Prince Harry has been accused of "playing the victim" after allegedly rejecting an offer from King Charles to stay in a Royal residence due to security concerns, according to a Royal expert. It's reported the Duke declined the King's invitation to stay at a Royal property during his recent visit to the UK.

The refusal is said to be due to the lack of security provision and the public visibility of the location, with open entrance and exit points and no police protection.Instead, Harry opted for a hotel stay, which resulted in him not reuniting with the King, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment.

A statement was quickly released by his team stating his father was essentially too occupied to meet him, reports the Mirror. However, former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond, speaking to OK!, dismissed Harry's alleged reason as implausible.

She stated: "I find it very hard to buy the argument that Harry wouldn't feel safe in a royal residence. They are heavily guarded, as you would expect and there are usually several ways of getting in and out of palaces and castles, so he wouldn't necessarily have to be seen."I'm afraid it does rather sound to me like Harry trying to make himself into a victim once again when we are told that the offer was there for him to stay in a royal residence."Prince Harry has been caught up in a protracted legal battle with the Home Office after a 2020 decision, following his move to the US, determined he would no longer receive the "same degree" of publicly-funded security while in the UK.
