Prince Harry left a very unlikely response when he was addressed as "mate" by a royal aide. The a three-word-response came after the worker accidentally slipped up and messaged the former Duke of Sussex the informal text before profusely apologising.
According to a book by Valentine Low, Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, which examines the roles of those working at the Royal Household in charge of helping to shape the monarchy it also looks at the relations between royals and their staff.In one section, according to reports in the Mirror, the "subtle variations" are revealed between what those working for the royals call their principals.
King Charles' staff at Clarence House would use formal greetings such as "Your Royal Highness" and "Sir" before he became monarch.But one former press secretary at Kensington Palace Nick Loughran explained he would be less formal when he was working for Prince Harry and his older brother Prince William.
Another, Ed Perkins, explained he once got a surprising reply from Harry after he made a blunder whilst addressing him through text message.
