During his new Netflix documentary series, Heart of Invictus which was released on 30 August, the Duke of Sussex spoke openly about his eldest child's aspirations along with an important life lesson for the four year old.
Providing a closer insight into family life, Harry said: "When I talk to my son Archie about what he wants to be when he grows up, some days it's an astronaut, some days it's a pilot. "But what I remind him is no matter what you want to be when you grow up it's your character that matters most. "And nothing would make his mum and me prouder than to see him have the character of what we see before us today – you." Harry shared these words during a speech at the Games in The Hague last April, which is shown in the new five-part series.
Archie's idea of becoming a pilot is thought to be inspired by his dad, who served as a pilot while he was in the British Army for ten years, having passed his training to become an Army Air Corps.
Harry went on to qualify as an Apache helicopter commander in 2013 after three years of training. During a five-month tour in Afghanistan, Harry served as a co-pilot gunner where he shared flight duties and took control of the weapons of the two-man Apache.
