Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

President Biden Says ‘Garbage’ Comment Directed at Rally Speaker, Not Trump Supporters

Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor President Biden appeared to call supporters of Donald Trump “garbage,” but later attempted to clarify his remark as referring specifically to the pro-Trump comedian at the Republican candidate’s New York rally who called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.” In a video addressing Latino voters released Tuesday, Biden said, “Just the other day, a speaker at [Trump’s] rally called Puerto Rico a ‘floating island of garbage,’” referring to the offensive comment made by Tony Hinchcliffe at Trump’s Oct.

Nevertheless, conservatives eagerly likened Biden’s comment to Hillary Clinton’s gaffe in 2016 when she labeled “half” of Trump’s supporters a “basket of deplorables.” On Tuesday evening, Biden attempted to clear the air in a post on social media: “Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage — which is the only word I can think of to describe it.
