A shop selling second-hand school uniform is to re-open in Stockport. The pop-up shop in the Merseyway shopping centre will re-open in August ahead of the new school year.

Aimed at helping cash-strapped families, it will sell donated items of uniform for local schools for a donation of just 50p a piece.

The initiative has been run in previous years and has been brought back due to 'overwhelming demand' centre bosses say. A donation bin, situated outside Specsavers in the undercover mall, where clean and pre-loved items can be dropped-off will open on Monday, August 5.

The shop will be open for a week from Saturday August 10 to Saturday August 17.
