Piers Morgan has paid a touching tribute to 'brilliantly clever' Derek Draper, the husband of his former co-star Kate Garraway.

Piers, who used to host Good Morning Britain with Kate before he quit in 2021, always had kind words for his former colleague during Derek's tough health battle.

Derek was hospitalised many times after catching Covid in 2020 and spent 13 months in hospital. He needed constant care even after leaving the hospital.

Kate kept us all updated on his journey and recently took a break from work to be with him when he had a sudden heart attack in early December.
