Susanna Victoria Reid (born 10 December 1970) is an English television presenter and journalist. Reid was a co-presenter of BBC Breakfast from 2003 until 2014, along with Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt.
She has been a co-anchor of Good Morning Britain since 2014, and currently presents the programme alongside Piers Morgan and Ben Shephard.
She finished as a runner-up on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. She also presented Sunday Morning Live on BBC and Save Money: Good Food on ITV.
Despite leaving Good Morning Britain in controversial circumstances in 2021, Piers Morgan has posted a message on social media to celebrate the morning show’s 10th anniversary.
Current presenters Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley marked the special occasion on Monday 29 April by introducing a series of clips of some of the show’s most memorable moments, including a glimpse of Piers, who worked on GMB for almost six years.
Fans were not impressed with this brief anniversary nod to his long tenure on the show, with one writing on X: “A half-second clip of Piers Morgan in your ten year mash-up is a disgrace to the 50% of the pairing who put the show on the map.” Piers, however, approached the perceived slight with humour, and posted an anniversary statement to his X and Instagram accounts, alongside two photos – one of his first day on GMB in April 2015, and one from his final day in March 2021.
He wrote: “Happy 10th anniversary to Good Morning Britain. I spent five fun, eventful years there, and loved every minute. He’s a picture of me on my first (April 13, 2015) and last (March 9, 2021) day… divorce is never easy!” He was, of course, referring to the way that he left Good Morning Britain in 2021, following an onscreen argument with weather presenter Alex Beresford.
