A popular family-owned restaurant has announced it will be closing its Piccadilly Gardens site at the end of this month. Vegan Shack offers a plant-based twist on classic junk food including burgers, loaded fries, fried “chicken” and milkshakes and was originally launched in 2019 from owner Dimeji’s bedroom in Salford Quays.

Since then they have opened their Collyhurst hub, which will remain open for takeaway only, and their restaurant in Piccadilly Gardens has been called a “vegan landmark”.
