Pedestrian, 65, killed after being hit by car as Stirling road closed for eight hours

A 65-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in Stirling on Sunday evening. The incident happened around 7.45pm on Sunday, March 3, at Alloa Road near to Blackgrange Roundabout on the A907.

The female pedesrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Police say next of kin are aware. The collision involved a white Volkswagen Tiguan and the driver of the car was uninjured.

Muliple emergency services were seen at the incident with the road closed for around eight hours to allow for collision investigation.Inspector Andrew Thomson, of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died.“I would like to thank the members of the public who stopped at the scene Join the Daily Record's WhatsApp community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages. “I would also be keen to speak to anyone who were travelling on this road who may have seen the female before the collision or has dashcam footage to get in touch.”Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident 2796 of 3 March, 2024.
