Paul Taylor murder cops arrest woman and man as investigation continues

Murder cops investigating the disappearance of Scots dad Paul Taylor have made two further arrests as part of their ongoing investigation.A 20-year-old man from Penrith and a 47-year-old woman from Carlisle have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remain in police custody.Police probing his disappearance announced a murder investigation after new information came to light last month.Paul was last seen leaving his home in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway, around 9.45pm on Tuesday, October 17, and his blue Vauxhall Corsa travelled towards Carlisle shortly before midnight, via the M6 Southbound.Two days later, the 57-year-old's car was found abandoned in Langwathby.In November, a 37-year-old from Carlisle and a 17-year-old boy from Appleby were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and two 19-year-old's were arrested on suspicion of murder.All were released without charge on bail.Officers are continuing to appeal for any information on Paul's disappearance and his devastated family has also urged for people to get in touch so they can find peace.This week, his family said: "We are reaching out to anyone who knew Paul, or has even the smallest bit of information related to his disappearance that would help us find peace and get answers.”Police know Paul's car travelled into Carlisle shortly before midnight on October 17, going into the City West area around Yewdale and Sandsfield Park.
