Camilla, Queen Consort, has paid tribute to late TV star Paul O'Grady, who passed away on 28 March, saying she is "deeply saddened" to hear of his death.
Camilla, 75, shared a close bond with Paul, with the pair coming together on several occasions thanks to their shared love of dogs and passion to he raise awareness of animals in need.
Following his series For The Love of Dogs, Paul became an ambassador for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in 2012. Camilla is the patron of the organisation and regularly pays visits to the rescue centres.
She even appeared in the 2022 For The Love of Dogs Christmas special, which was filmed at Battersea’s Brands Hatch. In the festive TV special, the unlikely duo joined forces to try and find forever homes for dogs and the Queen Consort also hosted a garden party to celebrate Battersea's 160th anniversary, which featured in the programme.
