Paisley street taped off in ongoing police incident

A large police cordon has been established in a Paisley street this afternoon. The emergency services raced to Caledonia Street in the town around 3pm with the area closed off to members of the public.

Albion Street is also affected.A number of officers are in attendance at the scene investigating the matter.A source, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Paisley Daily Express: “It was the sirens that got my attention.

They were so loud and they went on for ages.“The whole street is taped off right down Albion Street, right down Caledonia Street.

The street is swarming with police and CID officers."The Scottish Ambulance Service is also at the scene alongside forensic police.The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed.
