Paddy McGuinness may not have got the sympathy he was hoping for after declaring 'I'm back' following his break away. The Top Gear host ditched the UK and jetted over to Portugal for some time in the sun while ex-wife Christine stayed at the home they still share with their three children.

During his trip, Paddy made his fans nostalgic as the former Take Me Out host shared a picture of a sun lounger which had been perched on the sand.

It was covered in two towels each with its own branding. One was branded with 'Normid' - a chain of shops previously located in northern England, with a flagship store at Burnden Park, Bolton - while the other said: "Booked it, packed it, f****d off." And it didn't take fans long to pick up on both references, particularly the latter as it was a quote from his comedy pal Peter Kay during one of his stand-up gigs.
