Jimmy Kimmel

James Christian Kimmel (born November 13, 1967) is an American television host, comedian, writer, and producer. He is the host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, a late-night talk show that premiered on ABC on January 26, 2003 at Hollywood Masonic Temple in Hollywood, California; and on April 1, 2019, at a secondary home, the Zappos Theater on the Las Vegas Strip. Kimmel hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2012 and 2016, and the Academy Awards in 2017 and 2018.

UPDATED with full list: The nominations for the 96th Oscars were revealed Tuesday morning, with the announcement of nominees taking place beginning at 5:30 a.m.

PT during a presentation at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Follow along below as the nominees are announced.

A total of 23 categories are up for grabs as the movie-awards season hits its apex after a year that blasted off in earnest that one weekend in July when both Barbie and Oppenheimer — aka Barbenheimer — hit theaters at the same time.

Both factored highly when names were unveiled this morning. Also in the mix are a pair of international features that established their buzz back in Cannes — Justine Triet’s Palme d’Or winner Anatomy of a Fall and Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest.
