North Lanarkshire school pupils take part in tree planting ceremony ahead of move to shared campus

Pupils from two North Lanarkshire schools have been digging in ahead of their move to a shared campus.Kids from Newmains and St Brigid’s primary schools along with children from Newmains Family Learning Centre and Newmains nursery planted trees on the site of their new campus, which is set to open in February next year.The event, which took place on Monday, December 5, also marked national tree planting week – the UK’s largest annual tree celebration.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

She told Lanarkshire Live : “It was lovely meeting pupils and staff and seeing how excited they are about the new community hub.
