North Lanarkshire motorists warned over lengthy road closure near train station

Motorists in Cleland are being warned over a lengthy road closure which will take place over the coming weeks. North Lanarkshire Council have confirmed that in order to facilitate junction improvement works associated with a residential development on the B7029, Bellside Road, a temporary closure will take place in that street.

The council’s roads department confirmed the order will last from Monday, January 22, until Sunday, February 18.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The closure will be from the extended east kerbline of Cleland Railway Station.Vehicles on the east side of the closure wishing access to the west side of the closure should proceed via B7029 Bellside Road, A73 Carlisle Road, B7066 Motherwell Road, B7066 High Street, B7066 Carfin Road, B7066 Newarthill Road, B7029 Chapelknowe Road, B7029 Omoa Road and B7029 Main Street.Vehicles on the west side of the closure wishing access to the east side of the closure should proceed vice versa.Access will be maintained to Cleland Railway Station. *Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire.
