Nicola Sturgeon passes driving theory test and says 'step one complete'

Nicola Sturgeon has 'competed step one' in her bid to become a driver after passing her theory test. The former First Minister shared the news that she had overcome the first hurdle on social media on Saturday afternoon.

The 52-year-old achieved full marks in the multiple choice, scoring 50 out of 50. Meanwhile, in the hazard perception she scored 56 out of 75, easily surpassing the pass mark of 44.

Posting a picture of her pass certificate on Twitter, Sturgeon wrote: "Step one complete", followed by a tick and a car emoji.It come after she was snapped returning home from a driving lesson in April, as she began adjusting to life after stepping down as First Minister.

Sturgeon, who remains MSP for the Glasgow Southside seat after quitting the top job in February, was snapped getting out of a blue Toyota Yaris with L-plates run by the Caledonian Learner Driver Training motoring school.
