Greener Communities has launched a new online system to help residents report issues within their communities.Report It! is a new feature on East Ayrshire Council's website that allows residents to report 15 different issues, including playpark equipment, graffiti, littering, dog fouling and any issues within the cemeteries.To report an issue, residents are advised to fill in online form with background information, the location and optionally a photo.
The report then will be sent to Greener Communities for processing and assigned to the appropriate team to deal with the issue.
Work will be undertaken where there is council ownership, the Greener Communities do not accept reports of issues which relate to privately owned areas.For instance, for graffiti, if it is highly offensive, the team will aim to attend within two working days.
However, the team can only remove graffiti from buildings in public ownership, it is the responsibility of the owner in all other cases.Councillor Jim McMahon, Spokesperson for Housing, Transport and Communities said: "Report It!
