Nancy MacKenzie, a voice actress best known for dubbing Marge Simpson on The Simpsons to Spanish for Latin American audiences, has died.
She was 81. MacKenzie voiced the animated character for its first 15 seasons in Latin America. Her former co-stars shared the news of her death on social media. “It is with deep sadness, the Simpson kids (Lisa and Bart), announce the passing of our beloved mom, Marge Simpson (Nancy MacKenzie,” read the Instagram post shared by Patricia Acevedo, who voices Lisa Simpson for Latin America. “Rest in peace.
You will never be forgotten.” The post was accompanied by a video with photos of the Latin American voice cast for The Simpsons throughout the years. “We will miss you dear mom, until forever,” reads a caption at the end of the video in a scene between Lisa and Marge.
