A mum was left mortified after she made a huge mistake in her online Christmas dinner shop leaving her with countless food items and a 'horrendous' cost.

The indecisive woman received a nasty surprise when she realised that everything in her online basket she had added during her Tesco order had accidentally already been ordered, the Mirror reports. She explained that she had picked out everything that she liked the look of for her intimate Christmas dinner with her husband including eight separate joints of meat, a selection of cheese boards, trifles, yule logs and party food.

Her plan was to have her partner help her make a joint decision on what to buy, however, when he went to make the final selection he discovered everything in the basket had already been ordered.

The woman confessed she felt like an 'idiot' as she took to MumsNet to share her very expensive error. She explained: "Oh no I've over spent massively I feel such an idiot. "A few weeks ago with our Tesco order we got the pre-order food catalogue.
