More working people across Renfrewshire seeking help due to cost-of-living crisis

“Worrying” trends have shown more working people in Renfrewshire need financial support during the cost-of-living crisis. Advice agencies – such as Renfrewshire Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) and the council’s Advice Works service – have noted an increase in residents who are in employment seeking help in relation to issues around debt and food insecurity.The stark situation was highlighted in a report at the recent leadership board – a matter of weeks after Crystal Clayton, senior manager of Renfrewshire Foodbank, said members of the working population “can’t make ends meet at all” at the moment.
