Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

Diana originally began wearing the watch to replace the gold Patek Phillippe that Prince Charles gave her for her 20th birthday.However, she stopped wearing the Patek Philippe entirely after her marriage began to break down and wore her Cartier instead, which was gifted to her on her 21st birthday from her father, Earl Edward John Spencer.The Duke of Sussex later went on to pass the watch down to Meghan who made her debut wearing it in a rare portrait of the couple that was released ahead of the couples episode of Time100 Talks.The watch was said to be worth £17,8000 at the time but is now reportedly worth more due to its history.Meghan was also seen wearing the Cartier diamond tennis bracelet that also previously belonged to the former Princess of Wales.
