'Margaritaville' singer Jimmy Buffett dead at 76

The singer had recently spent time in hospital, but an exact cause of death was not given. "Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1 surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs," the statement on his website read. "He lived his life like a song till the very last breath and will be missed beyond measure by so many."
