Manchester United are aware of the interest from Swansea City in assistant coach Eric Ramsay over their vacant managerial position.
Ramsay has been made the odds-on favourite by bookmakers' to take over at the Championship club, but the Manchester Evening News understands he is not currently the number-one choice for the role.
Swansea have yet to appoint a permanent manager since Michael Duff was sacked on December 4 and are continuing to explore their options after a failed approach for Chris Davies last month. The 31-year-old previously spent nearly four years as a lead professional development phase coach at Swansea at the very start of his career before joining Shrewsbury Town as academy manager.
